New Business

Paul Credle, longtime TVW Member, donated his entire wood shop to the Club!  We will move it to Jim Jolliffe’s storage area for pricing and sale.  The plan is to have a TVW “members only” preview & sale.  It will be determined after that sale if we should then have a public sale (on a later date close to the “members only” sale).  Following those sales, any remaining tools may be offered at the Club Auction in August and/or the Club Tool & Craft Sale the last Saturday in October (Oct 26th).

Show & Tell

Richard Gulley showed 3 items: using his laser machine he made a “50 Years Together” sign from 1/8 inch plywood, a Penny from ¼ inch plywood his daughter, Penny’s business. He also showed a CNC mortise and tenon joint made out of Sycamore and a brass insert as a test fit for a client’s blanket stand.

Chuck Taylor showed a segmented/angled cutting board he made out of Oak, Maple, Walnut, and Cherry and finished with Linseed Oil and Tried and True.

Garry Runyon: Showed us a 4000/ 8000 sharpening stone from a single stone.  A very rare stone to have the different grits naturally occurring on either side of the same stone.
