Tennessee Valley Woodworkers

It’s fitting that we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Tennessee Valley Woodworkers this year.  A little history:

In the Fall of 1985 Henry Davis met Tom Cowan as they worked in support of the Franklin County High football team.  Henry had been thinking about forming a woodworking club for some time and, during one of their several discussions, brought up the idea with Tom.  Tom at first wasn’t too interested but shortly changed his mind and decided to support Henry in forming a club.  Over the next several weeks they organized a group of like-minded woodworkers, and the first official meeting of The Tennessee Valley Woodworkers was held in January 1986.  We invite you to join us in our celebration.

A short video discussion by two of the founders is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhwUMPCGTSs&t=48s

The next meeting of the Club will begin at 6:30 pm on April 15, 2025 in room H111 at UTSI.
