The December meeting will be at 6:30 pm on the 18th at the University of Tennessee Space institute, room H111. The December program will follow in the tradition of many past years. We will have our super Show and Tell. We need everyone to bring in a favorite tool or project from the present or the past.
A complete list of scheduled programs can be found on the website.
The newsletter is a little late this month. I’ve been spending every available minute in the shop (when I’m not filling in for Santa.) I think I’m going to make the Christmas Eve deadline, but it will be close. Be sure to look around the house/shop for a couple items for the Super Show N tell. That’s becoming one of the year’s best programs.
Two new members joined during the November meeting. Welcome to Troy and Travis Eason, both of Tullahoma.
Perhaps we all need to read the Club Info section on our website. The Constitution and By-Laws are worth the read. Henry Davis’ history article is a must read.
Our club is well over thirty years old and we have survived, no flourished, because a good foundation was laid in the beginning. From that point, many men and women were willing to build on that foundation by stepping up and serving when the need arose. If we are to continue this organization we now enjoy, we will have to do the same.
Dues are due. Be sure to see Paul Jalbert and take care of this item before the new year.
We strive to get the right picture associated with the right presenter, but oftentimes it's hard. So speak up when you give your name and we'll try hard to get everything matched up. Also, there may be additional pictures of some of the items in the Gallery. Look for Show and Tell.

I thought I’d give you a couple links to other website’s “Links of Interest.” It’s a good way to turn up some little-known resources.

I saved the best for last. This link has loads of info for hand tool users and a plethora of sharpening articles. We probably need to add this one to our links page.

These funnies aren’t specific to woodworking, but will probably “speak” to you. Thanks to Sid Matheny for posting the second on our forum.
Since a lot of us have been making Christmas gifts, I thought I’d leave you with this quote:
"When we build, let us think that we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work as our descendants will thank us for; and let us think...that a time is to come when those (heirlooms) will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, 'See! This our father did for us.' " --John Ruskin
Be careful out there folk! That’s all for this month. Watch out for SPLINTERS
