carvers are meeting twice a month on the first and third
Saturdays on the month from 8:30 to 10:30.

NAME TAG INFORMATION
If you are a recent new member or had requested
a new name tag, a box of name tags will be available at the next
meeting. In the
future, name tags will be made for new members and available for pickup
at the next regular monthly meeting. Name tags for other
members will be made upon request only and will also be available for

Jim Acord - He made an
Alder chest for quilts and used amber shellac finish on it. |

Bob Addington
- He made a 1/2"
plywood box, with dovetails using a CNC machine. He also
made a picture of a
horse
and wagon, and a
moose (out of red oak) using the CNC machine. |

Jim Everett - He made an
Intarsia picture of a running deer (using scrap woods). he
used a urethane finish on it. |
|
Bob Reese
- He made a
large harp for a lady, that sits on the floor, using plywood
and walnut. It has
31 strings (lacquer finish used). |

Tom Gillard Jr.
- He showed pictures in New Mexico of
Aspen groves and
Ponderosa Pines and commented on the pleasing aroma. |

Bob Stancil
- He made a
Cherry bowl (with worm holes) and a
Chestnut Oak burl bowl, with butcher block oil finish on
them. |
|
Eric Strotheide - He made a
farm tractor and trailer out of Poplar and Maple, with other
woods.

Allen Odell - He made
2 walking sticks and finished them with Helmsman
polyurethane finish. |

- Jim Van Cleave - He made
2 large Cherry stands for flower vases (with fluted sides) |

Doyle McConnell
- He made an
Oak ring holder (round box) and a
letter opener with a burl wood handle. Lacquer finish was
used. |

Duval - He made 3 bowls, one a thick
Cherry bowl with a crack in the side, and
large and small Cherry bowls. |

Noel Johnson
- He made a
spalted Holly bowl with beeswax finish, and a
Sassafras bowl (dark color) with a stich sewn in the side. |

Chuck Taylor
- He made an
Apple bowl with a satin lacquer finish, and a
bowl with a pewter lid to hold fragrant herbs. He also made
a box of 48 children’s
play blocks with letters and numbers on them. |

Bob Truesdale
- He made a
mission bed post using slats of Walnut and scrap wood, that
can be taken apart (with hose clamps). |

Jeremy Anderson
- He made an
Ambrosia Maple bowl with worm holes inside and a lacquer
finish. |
|
Richard
Gulley - He made
8 wooden spoons out of Cherry and Maple (using a CNC
machine), and an
Oak chopping block with many square pieces. |

Matt
Brothers - He made a
Walnut bed,
dresser and
chest of drawers (with inlays on top) and an
end table. He used Danish oil and lacquer finish on them.
