We meet in Jim Jollifee’s shop at 201 Jollifee LN, Tullahoma. We regulary meet on the first Saturady of each month
Jim Acord - He made 2 ice cream scoops out of Maple and Walnut with a polyurethane finish. He use push sticks for safety. | |
Jim Everett - He did a Intarsia Indian brave, with a ring, on a flat board. Also a bear and a bee hive in Intarsia style with polyacrylic and Krylon finish. He also made a small stool out of red cedar and upholstered it with colored cloth. | |
Bob Stencil - He made 2 bowls out of black walnut using a wiped linseed oil, and a butcher block finish. He also made a bucket out of yellow heart pine with a butcher block oil finish. | |
Sherman Mays - He makes
gun stocks out of Black walnut and American walnut and does
the fine checkering by hand (this takes 5 years to learn how to
do well). He finishes them with 16 coats of epoxy finish |

Bob Reese - He made 30 Peach Pit carvings displayed in a wooden box and mounted on a stand. no finish mentioned. | |
Larry Wendland - He made bowl out of Norfolk Pine from Hawaii (very thin) and used Watco Danish Oil finish on it and shellac finish over that. | |
Bob Addington - He made a Marine Corps bulldog mounted on a Cherry board. He also made a picture of his granddaughter on a Corian sheet of plastic using the CNC machine. | |
Judy Bennett - She made a raccoon out of walnut and maple (in the Intarsia style) using spray polyethylene. She also made a flower out of walnut and cedar. |

Gary Bennett - He made 4 bowls and 2 peppermills out of segmented pieces of cedar, cherry, maple and walnut. He used butcher block and tung oil finish on them (5 coats). | |
Mike Addington - He made a large chest out of pine with walnut hinges and hasp. He used a Danish oil finish on it. | |
Gary Runyan - He made a 4" dia. bowl out of cherry using a wood shop oil and wax combination finish. | |
Scott Short - He made a pen holder out of an oak Jack Daniels barrel stave. Also a flat cherry wood plate with the wedding name and date cut into it. He used Minwax to finish it. | |
Ken Gould - He carved a Condo onto a piece of cottonwood driftwood (bark) with windows cut through. He used clear acrylic on it. | |
John Hartin - He made a large 20 inch shallow bowl out of maple and finished it with lacquer. | |
Jim Jolliffe - He showed, with pictures, how He made a large bar out of a big log, using several pieces cut by tools in a jig that he made. He didn’t give a finish. | |
