August 1995

Old Business

John and Janie Lovett thank everyone for participating in the show at Falls Mill. Bob Reese passed out more instructions for the router jigs from his program.

New Business

Jack Townsend said he would no longer be able to participate in the craft show in the fall at Decherd. As a thank you, Judy presented Jack with a genuine antique hat. The club will give up their spots at the Decherd show unless individuals sign up for them. Phil had plans for the birdhouses needed for the Winchester nature trail. Phil stressed that there was no longer a deadline but they would like them by September. Mr. Tucker is back in the hospital at Woodbury.

Show and Tell

Susan Church showed a turned bracelet and bandsaw box that Tom brought back from Detroit. Frank Grisard showed a “before” birdhouse. John Green missed last month because he was in Smithville making a dulcimer. According to TVW code 23.A12, John was asked to play a tune or forfeit his dulcimer. Ross Roepke made a splicer and a cherry burl box with walnut frame that he made for his grandson. Lloyd Ackerman had some birdhouses and Henry Davis demonstrated a labor intensive puzzle.  Phil had a carving he did at Falls Mill, and some nice photos. Joe and Sandra Plunkett gave a wonderful program on Nantucket baskets.
