Doyle McConnell, Henry Davis, and Tom Cowan are signed up for Windsor Stool Making with Paul Pitts, which will be held at Tom Cowan’s shop on the dates listed above, If you are interested in this exciting project, please call Tom Cowan. The cost of the workshop is $75.

Judy Davis has asked that she look into changing our club account to the AEDC credit union. Our bank is not giving us the service it had before. The membership voted hat we change our accounts.

The club voted to participate in the Artisan of the Month Club at Falls Mill. It will be on Saturday, July 15 this year. Janey promises it won’t rain as it did last year, and we all believe Janey.

Crotia asked that the club be a sponsor for a board game program for 4-H-camps. This will involve donating scrap lumber, making wood patterns, etc.

Show and Tell

If there is anyone that would like to teach Richard how to make bread, or give him some good some recipes to try out,  just get in touch with him. Bob Reese then horned in with sorne pIane talking about old tools and old healing fingers. Winfield shared the disturbing fact that his children do not write to him but call, and that he has figured out how much a roll of stamps cost. He also spilled the beans on Phil’s scrap box. We all need to call on Phil and look at it. May not even call ahead. Ross designed and built a beautiful hall table for his daughter, and Judy and Henry brought a lamp that they remade and decorated. Henry also was feeling mean at the meeting and brought a puzzle that caused many bad words to be thought. Billy May again brought a carved piece that he can’t find the buyer for. We need to get him an order book and make him write down his commissions in it.

Program

If you missed the March meeting, you lost out.  John Sargent showed us how to make his gorgeous segmented bowls and I know that many of us went home and began to do some designing around his ideas.

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 18 at 7pm at the Decherd church.
