CHRISTMAS GATHERING
WE STARTED THE HOLIDAYS OFF RIGHT WITH A GREAT GROUP OF
FOLKS AT
THE CHRISTMAS PARTY. I COULDN’T GET EVERYONE TO HOLD STILL
BUT
ONCE I COUNTED 65 PEOPLE. THE BEST CROWD AND THE BEST FOOD
WE’VE
EVER HAD. AFTER A DELICIOUS SUPPER, WE WERE ENTERTAINED BY
RICHARD GULLEY’S GROUP, HOMEWARD SOUND. THEY WERE ACCOMPANIED
BY
A FAMOUS GUEST ARTIST, THE TALENTED WESLEY BISHOP.
WE COLLECTED OVER 220 TOYS THAT THE WOODWORKERS MADE FOR
OPERATION NOEL AND Toys FOR TOTS. I HOPE EVERYONE GOT THE
OPPORTUNITY TO READ THE FINE ARTICLE THAT WAS IN THE HERALD
CHRONICLE ABOUT THE TENNESSEE VALLEY W000WORKERS. I HEAR WE
GOT
SOME PUBLICITY IN THE TULLAHQMA NEWS. WE APPRECI.4TE BOTH OF
THESE NEWSPAPERS SHOWING INTEREST IN OUR ORGANIZA TION.
AND CERTAINLY WANT TO THANK RICHARD GULLEY AND HIS WIFE FOR
ALL
THE PREPARATIONS THEY WENT TO FOR THE PARTY AND WE ALSO WANT
TO
THANK THE DECHERD CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE FOR ALLOWING US TO USE
THEIR FELLOWSHIP HALL. TOM SAYS WE’D LIKE THE RECIPE FOR THE
DELICIOUS ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE IF IT’S NOT A SECRET PLEASE.
