TENNESSEE VALLEY WOODWORKERS DEC. 1990
I
WILL HONOR CHRISTMAS IN MY HEART, AND TRY TO KEEP IT ALL THE YEAR.
EBENEEZER
SCROOGE
CHRISTMAS
PARTY
THIS
WONDERFUL ANNUAL EVENT WILL BE TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18 AT THE
NAZERENE
CHURCH IN DECHERD. THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE MET FOR THE
PAST
TWO YEARS, BUT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NEW MEMBERS, A MAP
IS
ON THE NEXT PAGE. WE ARE GOING TO START JUST A LITTLE BIT
EARLY
THIS YEAR. THE STARTING TIME WILL BE 6:00 PM. ONCE AGAIN,
THE
CLUB WILL BE PROVIDING MEAT AND DRINKS. So BRING YOUR
FAVORITE
DESSERT, OR VEGETABLE, OR DESSERT, OR SALAD, OR DESSERT
AND
JOIN THE FESTIVITIES.
AND
YES, VIRGINIA, THE AWALT RAMBLERS WILL BE THERE TO HELP US
GET
IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT. THEY WERE SO EXCITED ABOUT COMING
THAT
THEY CALLED JACK TOWNSEND TO SEE IF THEY SHOULD MARK US ON
THEIR
SCHEDULE. THEIR CALENDAR WAS FILLING UP AND THEY DIDN’T
WANT
TO MISS OUR FEAST AND GATHERING.
TOYS
FOR TOTS TOYS FOR TOTS TOYS FOR TOTS TOYS FOR TOTS
I HOPE
EVERYONE LISTENED CLOSELY TO TED BALDWIN LAST MONTH AND
MADE
SOME TOYS OR WERE INSPIRED TO BUY A TOY TO SUPPORT THE Toys
FOR
TOTS PROGRAM. THE FIREMAN AND POLICE IN FRANKLIN AND COFFEE
COUNTY
HELP DISTRIBUTE TOYS THAT ARE GIVEN. IF YOU HAVEN T HAD
TIME
TO MAKE SOME, PLEASE TRY AND BRING A TOY FOR A YOUNG CHILD
AND
WE’LL SEE THAT ALL THE TOYS ARE DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN THE TWO
COUNTIES.
REMEMBER THE TOYS DON’T NEED TO BE WRAPPED. THIS
MAKES
THE JOB EASIER FOR THE FOLKS THAT MAKE UP THE BOXES TO BE
GIVEN
AWAY.
WE
SURE WERE SORRY TO MISS THE TOY EVENT, BUT HEARD THAT THERE
WAS
A GOOD CROWD AND THAT EVERYONE BEHAVED THEMSELVES. WE WANT
TO
BE SURE AND GIVE A BIG THANKS TO BOB REESE AND ALL OF THE
EXCELLENT
PROGRAMS THAT HE HAS ARRANGED FOR US THIS PAST YEAR.
THEY
HAVE BEEN INFORMATIVE AND ENJOYABLE AND YOU JUST CAN’T ASK
FOR
ANY MORE THAN THAT. SALUTE
DEEP
IN DECEMBER , IT’S TIME TO REMEMBER TO PAY YOUR DUES, COME JANUARY.
WE
WOULD FIRST LIKE TO REPORT THAT JUDY DAVIS HAS DONE A
WONDERFUL
JOB THIS YEAR. A LOT OF TIME IS SPENT BEING THE
TREASURER
OF AN ORGANIZATION, AND THE TENNESSEE VALLEY
WOODWORKERS
ARE LUCKY TO HAVE JUDY KEEPING OUR BOOKS.
SHE
HAS ALSO TAKEN TIME AND SENT IN A REPORT TO SPLINTERS,
AND
WE SURELY APPRECIATE THAT.
