Committee Meeting
The
Executive Committee Meeting was held at Tom Cowan’s home and opened at 6:30 PM
by club President Kevin Deuermeyer. Those
in attendance are as followed:

Treasurer’s Report-
for FY 2012 was presented by Bob Addington in the form of a spreadsheet listing:

Balance of- $4,493.51
Funds
Collected were-$2,300.29
Total
Expenses were- $2,405.38
Ending
Balance was- $4,388.42
Storage Building-
Renting a Storage facility for
the clubs assets was discussed and it was decided that this was not needed at
the present time. A listing of the club
assets and location are as follows:
Tent- Carvers store the tent at
Phil Bishop’s shop.
Chairs and Chair Rack- Stored
at UTSI.
Box of Misc Electronics- Stored
at Kevin Deuermeyer Shop.
Video Camcorder- Stored at Loyd
Ackerman’s Shop.
Sound Equipment- Stored at
Henry Davis’s Shop.
Tripod- Stored at Chuck
Taylor’s Shop.
Wood Lathe & Accessories-
Stored at Larry Wendland’s Shop.
Forum – Comments –
It was decided that no changes be made at this time other than to encourage
additional club members to use the Forum.
Meeting Time Change-
It was discussed to change the meeting time from 7:00PM/9:00PM to 6:30PM/8:30PM
due to some members and or program presenters, who live a long distance from the
meeting place, arriving back home late at night.
It was decided to sample the membership at the February 19th
meeting for additional input.

Seminars-
it was decided due to the time constraints that a Spring Seminar would not be
held. The Fall Seminar would be held in
the fall with a date and subject TBA at a later date.
Workshops-
will be planned in the near
future with input from the membership as to what type of programs is wanted.
Inlaying, Spindle Turning and Tool Sharpening were a few of the subjects that
were discussed.
Shop Tours-shop
tours are to be continued and a list will be passed around at the meetings for
shops to be toured.
Carver’s Activities-Dick
Wollam was asked if the Carver’s needed any additional support and he stated
everything was fine at the time. He did
state that the general club membership was more than welcome to join the carvers
at the Dogwood Festival in Winchester, TN.
Sewanee Exhibit-
Dan Maher, Chair person for the
Exhibit at the University of the South, Sewanee, TN, explained why there was
date change in when the exhibit would be held.
He had listed additional locations and dates of when and where the
Exhibit could be held. It was decided by
the Executive Committee to have the Exhibit at the University of the South,
Sewanee, TN on September 8 thru September 15, 2013.
Bob
Addington nominated that that date and location be accepted and Karen Browning 2nd
it. It was approved unanimously by the
Executive Committee members.
The
Executive Committee Meeting adjourned at 8:30PM.
