called to order by President Paul Fulks at 6:30pm.
Announcement books on
tables are free donated by Shelia White, wife of David White, former member.
Summer Seminar with Ronnie Young was a big success, Ronnie did great and
shared great tips. See Splinters for these tips.
Paul Jalbert gave
updated treasurers report.
Jim Jolliffe gave info on upcoming seminars.
1st to be late Sept. by Blue Pau. Adina Huckins will be instructor Jan. 27th –
28th; 8am-4:30pm. Cost $157.00 per person.
TVW community service update:
Fred Heltsley explained Ross Community Center in Raus, Tn. While cleaning attic
found old chair frames. He will assist rebuilding them for their fund raiser pot
luck dinner Sept. 9th at 6:30pm.
Ross Roepke spoke of the Healing Hands
auction needing donations for their fund raiser.
Hands on Science Center
event is Saturday.
Vince Zaccardi reported clubs work for Blue Monarch's book
nook is approaching assembly then to be torn down, delivered, and reassembled.

SHOW AND TELL:
Doug Dunlap brought tea caddy he made
after Ronnie Young seminar. Made of cherry and walnut lined with tin foil.
Finished with 2 coats teak oil and poly.
Ross Roepke showed a table with
inlay on top, To be donated to Partners for Healing auction. Made of oak and oak
burl.
Jim Everette had a beautiful piece with glass top sandblasted as chess
board, The chess pieces were stored behind doors on side, Made with reclaimed
wood and led lights to light board.
Jim also had some intarsia pieces
including two with religious scenes and one with a corn holder with squirrel, he
showed three essential oil holders with small items to decorate.
John Hartin
presented 3 large bowls which will probably donated to charities, Two were
Magnolia and one was Hickory crotch.
Jim Jolliffee displayed a carving of a
Indian bust he made at seminar at University, made of wormy butternut.
Matt
Brothers had picture slides of a built in furniture piece with swing out storage
top. Made of pine, stained and lacquer finish. He showed pics of a 1953
Studebaker he is restoring. He also showed a craftsman style bedroom suite made
of white oak, stained and lacquer finish,
Paul Fulks brought old wood
tobacco grinder made of popular, He also showed one made of cast iron.
Fred
Heltsley showed a wood watch he bought on Amazon for far less than he found
anywhere.
