President Paul Fulks opened the meeting at 6;35 pm. The
guests were: Graham Blackely (from Australia) and Debbie his wife, Mike
Monroe and Vince Calgano.
Paul mentioned the web site PINTEREST.com (visual Idea
board) on how to make a cutting board as an example, with designs.
instructions, etc.
The carvers now meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd
Saturdays at Jim Jolliff's shop and they want to purchase a carousel horse
to rough carve.
The Cowan Festival is Sept. 18-20, 2015.
October 20, 2015 program will be presented by Tom Cowan
and Pete Miller on stained glass,and wood turning.
November 17,2015 the program will be about side boards by
Gary Walker.
The Coffee County fair starts on Sept. 19, 2015 and goes
through the following week.
The 30 year Anniversary and Christmas Celebration will be
held on December 10th, 2015 at Willow Brook golf course's Bosky's restaurant
at 5:00 PM and the meal at 6:00 PM.
A form was passed out for shop tours as a procedure is now
in place.
The Sept. program was presented by Doyle McConnell on
Christmas ornaments, and gifts that can be turned on a lathe.
