Chairman Paul Fulks opened the meeting at 6:30 PM
(moved from 7:00PM) and asked for any guests. Bob Leonard's wife Nellie came to
visit the club. The wood carvers met at Jim Jolliffe's shop on the first Sat. of
the month. The old club equipment consisting of audio visual items will be up
for sale soon. Vice President Pete Miller gave a talk on future programs for the
rest of the year:
1- the turning bee will be on
Sat. May 9,2015 at Larry Wendland's shop.
2- The club picnic will be on Sat. June 6,2015 at
Falls Mill in Belvidere.
3- Summer Seminar will be on Sat. July 18,2015 at
the Cowan Fine Arts Center. Tom Cowan and Vince Zacardi will present it along
with Wayne Loveless doing turning and Bob Ellis on carving.
4- Coffee County Fair Demonstrations by the club,
Sept. 19 thru 26, 2015. Contact Doyle McConnell.
5- The 30th Anniversary celebration and Christmas
Party of the club will be held in Dec. 2015 with details to come later.
Klingspor Sand paper Company has 4 locations in
North Carolina and they may come and give a Program to the club . Paul Fulks
gave out a bunch of samples of their sandpaper to random members to try out.
It was decided to keep the new meeting time of
6:30 Pm permanently.
