Carver’s Corner: The
workshop with Randy Walters was a great event.
Everyone enjoyed the club picnic, about 70 people
attended. The auction was very
successful with about $700 raised for the club.
Loyd showed a video of

Loyd stated that the club is sending a card and a turned gift
to Ann Cline for the excellent Tempo article and her efforts in publicity for
the Exhibition.
The auction for the club cabinet will end September 15th. If you want to place a bid contact Loyd in

Show and Tell:
Loyd had a music stand for Ladoris’ son.
Tom Cowan showed one of six dining room chairs he made for
Mary. They are made of poplar and
finished with milk paint and a lacquer overspray.
Gary Runyon displayed a spoke shave and a bow saw from a kit
made out of redbud and hickory. He also
talked about Locktite 324, which is a super strong
glue.
Vince Zaccardi had a walnut bowl with a maple bottom. He commented that his interest in turning
started at the turning bee in 2008.
Program:
Tom Cowan gave an
educational talk on how to distinguish different period furniture.
The meeting adjourned at
