The meeting was held in Room H111 at UTSI.

There were 72 members and guests present.

Splinter carvers news, new meeting time Saturday before first Sunday each month. Next meeting will be at Phil Bishop’s on December 2.

Dick Wollam- New art supply store on the square in Winchester.

Next month program will be an expanded show and tell

Christmas party 5:30 Dec. 8, UTSI Rm. H111, pot luck, club will furnish drinks.

 

Election of 2007 officers;

Loyd Ackerman presented the list of those put in nomination by the committee. He then opened for nominations from the floor. Bob Reese made a motion that the nomination cease with no further nominations and those chosen by the committee be elected. Several people seconded in unison. The motion carried. The 2007 officers are;

Tom Gillard – President

Matt Brothers – Vice president

Jim Steadman – Treasurer

*Bob Lowrance – Secretary

*Larry Bowers – Publicity Chairman

*Chuck Taylor – Splinters Editor

Old business; None

 

New business; Ross Roepke – Ted Baldwin has died he was a member since 1987.

                        Ken Burgess – Phil Bishop will have knee surgery soon

                        Maurice Ryan – A walnut tree by Billy’s Florist in Winchester will be cut and the wood made available. A recall of Porter-Cable cordless brad nailer and Ryobe radial arm saws is being made for safety reasons.

                        Ken Gould – Quilters club is in need of a storage cabinet.
