Meeting called to order by president Harold Hewgley.  Welcomed guests were John Soileau, Maurice Ryan, and Jim and Sandy Mckenzie.

Old business - Spring seminar Doyle McConnell asked for suggestions and Loyd Ackerman submitted carving. Our club will be featured in a Tempo article in this weeks paper.  Name tags - Henry Davis reported that name tags are available for $4.50 + tax. See Henry to order.

New business - Adventure Mountain in Winchester will be built May 26-31st.  Call 967-1029 to volunteer.  Bill Knight has had bypass surgery.  George Arney is ill.

Show and tell - H. Hewgley - a piece of wood to identify, it turned out to be sycamore, L. Ackerman - two turned bowls buckeye and maple, R. Roepke - jewlry box with pecky pine top, D. McConnell - ruler and height guage, J. Cook - carvings walking sticks and men, M. Brown - cherry box, homemade chuck and wood boxes,  H. May - Davy Crockett carving, S. Graham - relief carvingfeaturing churubs, acorns and oak leaves,  He has 105 hours of work in this piece and it is not finished,  Henry Davis reported that Tom Cowan was featured as the program presenter at a recent meeting of the Tennessee Association of Woodturners.

Program - The program was presented by Tom Cowan on hand cut dovetails.
