February 17, 1998

Meeting called to order by President Harold Hewgley.  Guests Ben Donavan and Dave Courtner were welcomed.  New members Charles Riddle and Carl Smith were introduced. 

The executive committee met February 5th to set the agenda for the year.  Items discussed were - spring seminar, Falls Mill artisan day August 22nd, craft booth at the September craft show at the pavilion, fall picnicwith no date set, and The Christmas party in December no date set.  A traveling display case was discussed for showing items built by members.

New business - Nashville Woodworking show March 14,15 and 16th.  Name tags - Henry Davis will check and report in March.  Russ Willis has found a free source of green hickory - clear cut offs.

Show and Tell -  Cherry high chair by Tom McGill,Carved Indian head & checker board and carving pattern book by Steve Graham,  Walnut step stool by Ross Roepke, mortise & tenon equipment and small chair demonstrating angled mortise & tenons by Henry Davis.

The program was a silent auction with the proceeds going either to the club or the donee of the item.  Meeting adjourned at 8:55 PM. Respectfully submitted, John Green secretary.
